Miss Kelly (Owner/Teacher) has been doing gymnastics and dance since the age of two. She competed all over the United States and trained with the USA Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics team. Her team growing up was called the “Shore Stars” and she decided to name her new dance studio in its honor since it brought her countless childhood memories and wonderful experiences. She hopes to inspire and create a new generation of “Shore Stars”.

As a teenager Miss Kelly began teaching dance and hasn’t stopped. She has taught all ages and forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, and competitive dance. She has also run dance birthday parties, summer camps, and performances for charity. Kelly has led her dancers through recitals, Christmas shows, dancing in Disney, dance competitions, and many have gone on to study dance in college.

Kelly also studied dance in college and has attended several conventions, workshops, and programs for dance educators. She is a certified instructor with USA Gymnastics and has completed several of their University courses including Child Safety and Gymnastics Instruction. Kelly is a certified K-12 teacher and has over 12 years of experience in the classroom.  As an experienced educator she plans to bring your children excellent classroom structure and creative lesson plans. As a mother, she also knows how precious your children are to you and plans to bring them the love, encouragement, and inspiration that we all want for our children.

Kelly’s true passion for children and for dance is what led her to open Shore Stars Dance Academy where she can dedicate herself 100% to helping kids reach their full potential, build self esteem, and go on to become wonderful role models for others.

Miss Liz (teacher) had a love for dance and movement ever since she can remember, however, she found her passion for teaching at a very young age. By 14 years old she started assisting and teaching classes for the local dance studios she attended. Ever since, Elizabeth has molded and made it her goal to share her passion for dance with the next generation of dancers. With a huge heart and over 20 years of dance experience, Elizabeth has gone on to teach children’s ballet at the City University of New York, and has taught numerous Hip Hop classes at Broadway Dance Center in Times Square. Elizabeth is great with children and never just limited herself to only one dance style. Training in various styles such as Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Freestyle, and more is something that she is very passionate about.

Elizabeth has had the chance to live in New York City for over 4 years. While working in the city she learned a lot about teaching young dancers and different styles. From a variety of internationally known dancer teachers, Elizabeth is taking everything she has learned about teaching and applying it to every class she teaches. A fun and enthusiastic dance class is something that every child looking to dance should experience. Elizabeth takes that to heart and is eager to begin applying it here, in her new home at Shore Stars Dance Academy!
