Miss Kelly: (Director/Teacher) Hi Shore Stars! I’m Miss Kelly, the director of Shore Stars Dance Academy, a mother to my 7 year old son Gavin, and a certified k-12 teacher & dance educator. I’ve been dancing since 2 years old and teaching since 15 years old. My gymnastics/dance team growing up was called the “Shore Stars” and I decided to name my dance studio in its honor since it brought me countless childhood memories. I hope to inspire and create a new generation of “Shore Stars”. I studied dance in college, am a certified instructor with USA Gymnastics, and a certified Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Educator for special needs students.  I have over 17 years experience as a public school teacher and will bring your children excellent classroom structure and creative lessons here at Shore Stars. I am very excited to see your dancers working together, being imaginative, growing in confidence, and increasing their passion for dance.  As a mother, I knows how precious your children are to you and will bring them love, encouragement, and the inspiration that we all want for our children.

Miss Meghan: (Head Teacher) 5,6,7,8 and time to dance! My name is Miss Meghan and I am thrilled to join the Shore Stars family! I have two daughters, Harper, 3, who is also an energetic Shore Star and Sloane, 6 months. I started dancing when I was three and continued throughout high school as part of the Red Bank Regional Performing Arts Program and all through college. I started teaching dance at age 16 in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, to name a few. I am also a certified teacher for both elementary and special education. My passion for teaching children combined with my love of dance makes for a positive learning experience for my dance students! I am looking forward to skipping to the beat with all of our Shore Stars!

Miss Josceline: (Student Assistant) Hi everyone! I’m Miss Josceline, a former student of Miss Kelly’s. I am now in college studying to become a pediatric occupational therapist to help children develop motor skills, body awareness, and physical improvements. I have always loved working with children and worked all summer at a camp teaching and leading children in several activities. I am thrilled to join the Shore Stars staff this year as an Assistant Teacher to Miss Kelly in Tap and Ballet on Tuesday at 4:45pm and 5:45pm and with Jazz and Gymnastics on Wednesdays at 4:45pm. Thank you for welcoming me into your dance family!

Miss Marion: (Office Manager) Hello, my name is Miss Marion and I am thrilled to be the new Office Manager at Shore Stars. My love of children is what led me to become a preschool teacher as my full time career. I have been working in the child care field for 30 years. That is where I met Miss Kelly and her son Gavin. I admire Miss Kelly and the entire Shore Stars staff for their dedication in teaching your children. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you, bringing my knowledge and experience with children to Shore Stars, and enjoying a successful year.

Miss Jamie: (Office Staff) Hi Shore Stars family! My name is Miss Jamie and you will find me behind the desk on Tuesday nights. I have been with Shore Stars for three years and love meeting all of our dance families and watching the dancers bloom. I am so excited for our upcoming dance year. There is nothing better than seeing the shining smiles on our dancers as they walk through the door. I have two tiny dancers, Lucy and Lily, and a future Shore Star Wyatt. They look forward to dancing each week, just like you! Wishing you all a wonderful year ahead!

Miss Liz (Head Teacher) Hello dance families! I’m Miss Liz, one of the Head Teachers at Shore Stars Dance Academy. I have over 23 years of dance training, performing, and teaching various styles of dances in both NJ and NYC. With a bubbly, high energy teaching style, I create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the studio classroom. It’s my goal to have your dancer leaving the studio more confident and knowledgeable than when they first walked in. I challenge my students to work hard in class and then feel proud of what they have accomplished.  I am very excited to continue my career here at Shore Stars Dance Academy and cannot wait to see your child grow into a strong, confident, and energetic dancer!
